For Those Who Have Been Exploited and Wounded

Thousands of people have written me through the years who, amid their worst days, believe they are too broken to ever feel whole again. When they are in the midst of their darkest nights, they can't imagine that their pain will ever end or that life can ever be good again. I have been in that place and found that God's promises are true. He does help us heal and overcome what seems impossible to survive. My experiences were the catalyst for this ministry. I want to share with the hurting and brokenhearted that there is hope and healing after significant loss and pain. If you familar with my ministry, you will see that I often speak about clinging to God's promises...they are a lifeline to the hurting and broken. They are the truth we can count on when everything is dark and unfamiliar.

To help ourselves move forward from our pain and get through life's hardships and losses, we must focus our thoughts on God's promises instead of our feelings and what we can see at the moment. There is so much in our lives that we have no control over. The only things we can control are our thoughts and attitudes and how we choose to respond to the things that happen to us. We must choose and claim His promises and believe that what He says will come to pass in His time, and as we do all, He tells us to do.

God says He is near the brokenhearted and binds our wounds. He promises to turn our mourning into dancing. The Bible says that weeping may flow in the night, but joy will come in the morning. The Lord will never leave or forsake us, and He will redeem all the enemy means for harm. Let these promises and truths give you hope that you are not alone in your pain...that better days are ahead...that healing is coming.

I have seen the Lord fulfill His promises repeatedly in my own life and the lives of countless others through the years of my ministry. So many have written to say that they indeed saw God's goodness and found healing and hope, and they were restored and renewed. Be encouraged, friends. Our God is trustworthy. He is faithful. He has not brought you this far to fail you now. There is hope because of Jesus, and everything He promises will come to pass.
