Life can be very hard. We live in a fallen world full of pain, sin, hurt and loss. No one escapes this life without experiencing adversity and pain, but we do have a choice in how we go through those difficulties. Having a relationship with God means that we don't go through the ups and downs of life alone. He promises to never leave or forsake those who call upon Him. The Bible is full of encouraging promises and truth that gives us hope. He gives our life purpose and helps us to find meaning in our pain.  In any relationship, the more you get to know someone, the more you trust them and the deeper your love grows. It works the same way with our relationship with God. It's hard to trust someone you don't know.  Jesus wants to know us intimately...to have a relationship with us that is closer than any other we can ever know. He wants to share His joy and peace and to carry our burdens. He wants to give us gifts that the world can't give or take away.

While Jesus was here on earth, He endured every kind of pain imaginable.  He was slandered, mocked, persecuted, rejected, despised, beaten and hung on a cross.  He was known as a man of sorrows, well acquainted with grief.  He understands our pain and our suffering. He bore the weight of all of our sins, so we could have redemption. Being a Christian doesn't mean we suddenly have a pain free life, but it does mean we do not walk alone.  The Lord gives us His strength to face life altering changes, hurts and disappointments. He has done it for me and He will do the same for you! If you have any questions, please feel free to write me.

Does God Love Me? The answer is in the Bible, God's Word:

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

"I have loved you with an everlasting love." — Jeremiah 31:3

God loves you, and He loves you with a love that is beyond human comprehension. There is no human love comparable to His unconditional, divine love. God loves you. He wants to forgive you.  He wants to have fellowship with you. There is nothing that you can ever do to make Him love you more, or less, than He does at this very moment.

God is love…  — 1 John 4:16

It doesn't make any difference how far you tried to run from God.  His eye is on you.  He sees you.  God loves you and the Bible says that God sent His Son from Heaven to this earth for you.  Jesus Christ came to this earth to bear the weight of your sins and to die in your place upon the cross.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord.  "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.  Plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

God created us in His image - and you are important to God.

Indeed the very hairs of your head are numbered.  — Luke 12:7

He is just a prayer away... reach out... He's waiting for you to come to Him...

Who is Jesus - and what does His life, death, and resurrection mean to me?

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." — John 14:6

Many go through life unfulfilled... unfocused... searching...

What does it all mean?

Can God really change my life?

No matter who you are or how you've lived your life to this point, God will receive you into His family.  He will change you and make you complete. He is worthy of your trust. He will not fail you.

"I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? — Jeremiah 32:27

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in... — Revelation 3:20

The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you in power… and you will be changed into a different person. — 1 Samuel 10:6

What do I have to do to go to Heaven?

God's not waiting to judge you.  God's not waiting to condemn you.  He's waiting to receive you with mercy with love with open arms and forgive all your sins. Will you come to Him?  Will you turn from your sin and promise to live for Him?

...If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. — Romans 10:9

Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. — John 1:12

He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved..." — Acts 16:30,31

God knows who you are, He loves you, and He wants you to know and love Him.

How do you do that?

First, admit that you, like all of us, are a sinner. Being sinners means we have wronged God and fall short of His perfect standard. It also means we are separated from Him and deserve His judgment.

But He loves us! God sent His own son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. He died for your sins. He was punished so you don't have to be. Not only that, death did not defeat Him. After three days Jesus rose from the dead, alive again!

Trusting in Jesus' sacrifice for you is the only way to find forgiveness from God and to begin a relationship with Him.  I encourage you to take this step of faith today. To do that simply talk to God – that is all prayer is...just talking to God– tell Him you believe in His Son. Here is a suggested prayer:

"Dear God, I'm a sinner.  I'm sorry for my sins.  I want to turn from my sins.  I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son. I believe that He died for me.  That He rose from the grave.  That He's alive.  I want to invite Him to come into my life to take control.  From this day forward forevermore.  And I pray this in the name of Jesus.  Amen."
